Privacy Policy

Overview

Tranquillitas: Calm & No Panic ("the App") is a panic attack and anxiety relief companion designed to help you through difficult moments. Your privacy is fundamental to how we built this app.

This policy explains what information the App handles, how it handles it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or transmit:

• Your name, email address, or any contact details
• Your location or GPS data
• Your session history, panic attack logs, or usage patterns
• Your emergency contacts or phone book data
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or analytics data
• Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to our servers

The App does not contain any analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or third-party tracking libraries.

Information Stored On Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your device only, using your device's secure local storage. It never leaves your device:

• Emergency contacts — names and phone numbers you choose to save within the App, sourced from your device's contacts with your explicit permission
• Music preferences — your chosen music source (Spotify, YouTube Music, or built-in) and any playlist selections
• Session history — timestamps, durations, and outcomes of past sessions, stored only on your device
• App settings — language preference and other configuration choices

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by uninstalling the App or using the "Clear All Data" option in Settings.

Device Permissions

The App may request the following permissions. Each is optional and used only for the feature described:

• Contacts — to let you select emergency contacts to call during a crisis. We do not read, copy, or transmit your contacts.
• Phone calls — to initiate a call to your chosen emergency contact directly from the App. We do not make calls automatically.
• Internet — required only if you choose Spotify or YouTube Music as your music source. This connects directly to those services using your own account.

You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → Tranquillitas → Permissions.

Third-Party Services

If you choose to connect a music service, that service's own privacy policy applies to your use of it:

• Spotify — governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy (spotify.com/privacy)
• YouTube Music — governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy)

The App's built-in calming music (the default option) plays entirely offline and requires no third-party connection.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and notify users through the App. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

We will never change this policy in a way that reduces your privacy protections without prominent notice.
